If you find yourself in Washington, D.C., the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum may interest you. The organization that fascilitates the museum (DAR) was founded in 1890, the beginning of the Progressive Era. Although the museum is not focused only on the Progressive Era, many exhibits emphasize the importance of women working to make a change. She had to wear fashion inspired by turn-of-the-century dress, to fit in with the theme. The dress is simplified, of course.
